  • Marketing Assistant

  • The Marketing Assistant is responsible for assisting the Marketing Manager with the coordination, planning, promotion and execution of all shopping center marketing projects. This position will provide support for marketing initiatives such as social media platforms, eblasts coordination, retailer support and shopping center events.

    As the Marketing Assistant, one is held accountable to, however not limited to, the following job functions: 

    • Supports the Marketing Manager in the coordination, creation, promotion and execution of shopping center marketing
    • Assists with online community engagement to include Yelp, Google, Wordpress and social media reporting
    • Works closely with retailers and outside vendors to facilitate and coordinate marketing projects
    • Works closely with social media agency to assist in the marketing on all social media platforms
    • Assists in tracking the budget and expenses for marketing related projects
    • Coordinates and assists with various marketing campaigns and activities
    • Maintains and manages the inventory of marketing collateral and promotional items
    • Tracks and coordinates pertinent data associated with shopping center marketing programs and prepares reports through direct interaction and engagement with field marketing personnel
    • Assists with the execution of property level events including day of event logistics, set up/clean up and reporting
    • Assists with all proof-reading and grammar checks of all marketing materials
    • Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications
    • 1-3 years of marketing or communication experience with a proven track record of creativity, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Strong attention to detail and high standards for quality work
    • Outstanding oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.  Ability to communicate with all levels.
    • Ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks and consistently meet deadlines
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2010
    • Proficiency in WordPress and MailChimp
    • Ability to work independently under general instructions. Must be a self starter.
    • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
    • Literacy (e.g. must demonstrate excellent spelling and grammatical skills).

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Work performed in a general office environment
    • May require extended hours including nights and weekends
