To support our growth, we are looking for a Development Analyst to join our Development and Construction team.  Under the direction of the SVP of Development and Construction, the Development Analyst is an integral part of the project team and leads departmental analysis and reporting activities. This individual works directly with the EVP, SVP, and Directors of Development, in addition to construction, leasing and asset management personnel on feasibility studies, proforma preparation, cash flow and cost monitoring, and evaluation of investment decisions throughout a project life cycle. In coordination with accounting, this individual prepares proformas, monthly and quarterly reporting documents, activity tracking reports, and maintains the development data files. 

What you will do:

  • Coordinate and assemble project financial reporting as required, i.e. proforma updates, internal reporting projects, etc.
  • Assist Development with feasibility studies, proforma preparation, project monitoring and reporting while verifying the integrity and accuracy of the development proformas throughout the process.
  • Handle multiple projects of varying complexity and interface with leasing, asset management, construction, and development resources in a fast-paced environment.
  • Assume additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.
  • Assist EVP & Leasing VP’s with the tracking of quarterly leasing volume and spreads.

What you should have:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant, related field required.
  • Minimum 2 years of real estate, finance or development related work.
  • MRI and ProCore proficiency a plus.
  • Experience in underwriting, risk and analytical assessment.
  • Architectural and/or construction background or exposure a plus.
  • Successful track record of risk analysis, project analysis, and assessment of critical, complex deal parameters to facilitate managerial decisions.
  • Strong technical skills a plus (software focused).
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Access
  • Strong strategic mind; demonstrable creativity, foresight, and self-awareness and judgment in anticipating and solving complex real estate development issues.
  • Results-driven with a demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and successfully execute multiple projects of varying complexity.
  • Ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines.
  • Maintains exceptionally high expectations and exerts effort to surpass goals.
  • Honest, open and genuine. Possesses the highest personal and professional integrity.
  • Low ego; willing to take on responsibilities that come with being part of a lean organization.
  • Ability to develop relationships based on trust, confidence and respect with team members.
