Our Marketing Internship was created to develop and invest in future real estate leaders. Interns are hired for a 10-week immersive experience where they will learn the fundamentals of marketing and experience the culture of ShopCore. Summer interns are immediately a part of our collaborative culture and build enduring relationships with their fellow interns, manager, and assigned mentor. Summer interns also have the opportunity to network with various professionals through organized social events.  Finally, each summer intern will work with an assigned mentor to complete a project and present their findings with other interns to the executive leadership team. 

Our 2023 summer analyst internship program will begin June 2023 and last through August 2023. To be eligible, you must be a college student during the time of the internship program.


  • Brainstorm event ideas and other marketing opportunities with the team
  • Assist with various event planning tasks
  • Build on the existing vendor and agency database
  • Assist in reviewing social media content & check for accuracy
  • Coordinate event logistics with vendors, agencies and partners as directed
  • Update websites, Eventbrite and other listings as it relates to events & marketing activations
  • Audit & update property websites with relevant information, tenant details etc.
  • Brainstorm & assist with planning LinkedIn, Facebook & Instagram corporate posts
  • Ongoing organization of digital files, Google photos, community Yelp pages etc.
  • Provide support for implementing digital marketing strategies
  • Research competitor landscape and make recommendations from findings
  • Proofread and review marketing graphics produced by Creative team
  • Perform special projects as assigned


  • Current junior undergraduate student at an accredited four-year institution (graduating 2024)
  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing and/or Communications
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Basic knowledge on the aspects of Marketing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and SEO highly desirable but not required
  • Ability to work in Chicago, IL for 10 weeks beginning in June of 2023
